Thunderstorms, flash flooding and hail forecast for London as weather warnings issued
Thunderstorms are on the way for the capital as weather warnings are put in place for London following a heatwave.

Temperatures are expected to stay hot at around 26 degrees, but a torrent of rain is predicted to fall by 6pm, a mere two days after the hottest September day in nearly 70 years .

The Met Office have issued weather warnings for London and said: "Slow developing thunderstorms may develop later today (September 15), leading to locally torrential downpours with the risk of of hail and frequent lightning."

They warned: "Please be aware that whilst many places will miss them, there is the risk of flash flooding where they do occur."

Mr Fish NOT responsible for a surfeit of water? Hmmm...
He's always had a chip on his shoulder.
He was even warned by a lady on the phone beforehand, but perhaps he was hard of herring. He cod have warned us if he wanted to.

ted only brings us mild weather.

The nutter who wrote Revelations promises: And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

IAN McCaskill has revealed he was to blame for failing to spot the infamous 1987 hurricane not Michael Fish.

The former BBC weatherman finally came clean about the blunder, 18 years after his colleague took the rap for telling the nation there was nothing to worry about.

Fish was flooded with criticism when a raging storm battered large parts of the South East just hours later killing 18 people, smashing homes and ripping up trees.

But McCaskill said he was the senior forecaster on that night and confessed he missed the warning signs. He added: "I was the one who told Michael Fish what to say.

OK, King James version: And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

You're not ALLOWED to say the KJ's English is crap.
